#summary Implications of the iPhone unlock and release of iPod Touch #labels Phase-Support = Introduction = Apple has moved forward with rolling out Mobile Safari, the browser included on the iPhone and the newly released iPod Touch. At the same time, hacker tools now make it easier than ever to install 3rd party native applications and write code that runs native on the iPhone, with no hardware modifications and no known long term effects. This project will continue for now to aim for the widest possible audience, which for now means continuing with a non-native application for Go usable via internet connection from the Mobile Safari browser present on both iPhone and iPod Touch. There are valuable tools and utilities such as already released that are helpful for our development such as the screenshot tool which allows us to take such pretty pictures, but it is not necessary to "hack" or otherwise modify the iPhone to use our application as a game playing participant. Simply follow the link to the URL, and you can begin playing or watch a game in progress. = Details = You can think of iShudan as both the server behind the webapp, as well as the webapp itself. The open and downloadable source code is server-side only, since we run the webserver, PHP environment, and MySQL on a remote server somewhere, similar to many other well known applications. We make the wiki and the code available here for anyone to add to, modify, or examine. This very same code runs on the server at [http://go.intellectualpirate.com David's Go Dojo], and as we change it there, we will reflect the source code here, so that if you like our project and would like to have a local "dojo" of your own, you can do so provided you have the necessary requirements.
